Mi Spa Chicago
Description
If you’re not relaxed by the muted orange and brown wall tones, by the candles or by the dim lighting throughout the spa, you must be seriously stressed out. But worry not—the minute you step into Mi Spa Chicago, which is perched on the second floor of a lofted South Loop building—your body will start to calm down. Flower petals cover every massage and facial bed, and the pedicures are done in a secluded but beautiful peaceful room. Our hot stone massage ($100) whisked away every ounce of soreness in our tired body, and their make-up applications are so fabulous that even Gov. Rod Blagojevich has gotten his face beautified there (and they’ve got the pics to prove it).
I must say, the space is very nice and relaxing. The services, just okay. But the mood of some employees? The manicure/pedicure lady just really gave off the impression that she did not want to be there. She never smiled, never said really anything, looked pissed off, ugh! I'm supposed to feel spoiled right? The massage was essentially someone rubbing oil on my body not massaging it, but it felt nice. Just comparing to other spas, this place is lacking. Dominga is nice though!
