Jane Addams Hull-House Museum
Description
A standing testament to the work of humanitarian Jane Addams, this museum is housed in the home she opened in 1889 to serve people in need, including a young Benny Goodman who learned to play clarinet there. The text-intensive displays supplement paintings that hung at the settlement, pottery and tableware created through her community art program, her desk and, next door, the dining hall where she and residents shared meals.
